A Victim of a Sexual Assault on the Subway Denied Her Day in Court

A woman was barred from suing the New York City's Metropolitan Transit Authority ("MTA")when she was sexually assaulted in a subway. To the woman's dismay, a train conductor stood by and watched the attack but failed to do anything to prevent it. The offender eventaully escaped prior to the police arriving on the scene. The offender has never been brought to justice.

The victim alleged that the MTA failed to take prompt and decisive action to save the victim from this horrific ordeal. Unfortunately, a Queens Supreme Court justice ruled otherwise.

The Law Offices of Richard L. Pullano has a track record of successfully representing the victims of sexual assaults. Our lawyers understand how those who suffer from anxiety and depression following traumatic events have difficulty leading a normal life. In the past, this firm has aggressively prosecuted those individuals and corporations who knew or should have known that the attack was preventable. In one such case, a victim was sexually assaulted in her own apartment building. On the victim's behalf, Richard Pullano attained a $1.55 million verdict against the woman's landlord.
